Recovery and Return Support Project in Al-Shuyoukh Subdistrict




As part of the Stabilization and Essential Services Program, the Aleppo Governorate and the Ain al-Arab (Kobani) Area Administration have launched the Recovery and Return Support Project in Al-Shuyoukh Subdistrict. The project is funded by Creative Associates International , in partnership with the Stabilization Support Unit (SSU), and with support from the U.S. Department of State.


Project Objectives

The project aims to improve essential public services while supporting the safe and voluntary return of residents through the rehabilitation of critical infrastructure and restoration of municipal services.

  • Rehabilitating priority public facilities.
  • Repairing damaged sections of the water supply network.
  • Restoring municipal sanitation services.
  • Removing debris from streets and public spaces.
  • Improving the quality and accessibility of essential services.

Community Engagement

In addition to infrastructure rehabilitation, the project strengthens communication between local authorities and residents to ensure that interventions are transparent, responsive, and aligned with community priorities.

  • Ensuring services reflect the needs of returnees.
  • Encouraging community participation in identifying priorities.
  • Supporting local monitoring of service delivery.
