Job Announcement – Information Technology Officer (IT Officer)
The Stability Support Unit (SSU) is seeking to recruit an Information Technology Officer (IT Officer) to work on a part-time basis (hours/days to be agreed upon), with the possibility of working from the office or remotely when required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and upgrade desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners, projectors, and network equipment, as well as regularly manage and update the technical assets inventory.
- Set up, administer, and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wireless Networks (Wi-Fi), ensure stable connectivity, troubleshoot issues such as slow or interrupted internet, configure network devices (routers, switches, access points), and manage IP addressing, DHCP, and DNS services.
- Provide technical support for operating systems (Windows and macOS), office suites (Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace), and email systems, including installation, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Manage cybersecurity tools including antivirus software and firewalls, implement regular backup procedures (on servers, cloud storage, or external drives), enforce strong password policies, and manage user access rights to ensure the protection of staff and beneficiary data.
- Install and manage internal systems and software such as databases, accounting systems, and case management systems, including user account administration (create, modify, delete, and assign permissions), and support integration with monitoring and evaluation tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, and Power BI when required.
- Coordinate with internet service providers, maintenance companies, and hardware/software vendors, follow up on maintenance contracts, and propose technical solutions aligned with organizational needs and budget.
- Document technical issues, procedures, and solutions, and prepare periodic reports (monthly or quarterly) covering system status, key issues, implemented solutions, and improvement recommendations, while maintaining updated records of devices and software licenses.
- Train staff on safe computer, internet, and email usage, prepare simplified step-by-step guides (including visual instructions) for common technical issues, and conduct awareness sessions on information security and data protection.
- Perform any other technical duties assigned by the direct supervisor within the scope of the role.
