“Beaches of Safety”.. From the Memory of the Camp to a New Horizon
In the city of Latakia, families who recently returned from Al-Hol Camp experienced a different kind of day—one away from the camp environment and closer to the sea, nature, and moments of joy. The day was part of the “Beaches of Safety” activity, implemented by the Stabilization Unit in cooperation with Sheraa Al-Kheer, with the aim of providing a safe space for families, strengthening psychosocial support, and creating positive experiences that contribute to restoring a sense of safety and belonging.
The full-day activity included a range of recreational and interactive activities designed for women and children, offering them an opportunity to relax, connect, and enjoy quality family time away from the pressures and experiences of the past.
The activity was implemented in coordination with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Aleppo, Latakia Governorate, and the Security Directorate and Tourist Police in Latakia, highlighting the importance of coordinated local efforts to support returning families and assist them in their path toward reintegration and stability within their communities.
