A Step Toward Safe Return: Syrian Families Relocated from Al-Rouj Camp

The Stability Support Unit (SSU), in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), camp management, and the Department of Social Affairs and Labor in Al-Hasakah, contributed to facilitating the relocation of a number of Syrian families from Al-Rouj Camp in Northeast Syria.

This effort was carried out as part of ongoing initiatives aimed at supporting the return of displaced Syrians to their areas of origin and enhancing opportunities for stability and community recovery.

The visit also included a review of the humanitarian conditions  the camp, in addition to assessing the living conditions of its residents and the broader challenges they continue to face.

This step comes as part of a broader series of humanitarian interventions that seek to support safe and dignified return pathways for Syrians, while also contributing to the improvement of their living conditions and prospects for long-term stability.
